Art Deco Poster for Copenhagen Christmas Ball By Lasse Voss

Copenhagen Christmas Ball 2024

There’s something about a Christmas ball that feels like stepping out of time. For one night, the world slows down — the lights glow a little warmer, the music wraps around you, and every dance feels like it could belong in an old film.

When I designed this poster for the Copenhagen Christmas Ball, I wanted to capture that feeling more than anything else. The deep reds and golden tones bring in the festive warmth, while the sharp geometry and silhouettes lean into that classic Art Deco elegance I’m always drawn to. It’s not just about a ballroom scene — it’s about the atmosphere, that mix of glamour and intimacy you only find at nights like this.

For me, Art Deco isn’t just a style on paper. It’s a way of bringing beauty and boldness together, of making something that feels timeless and modern at the same time. That’s the lens I tried to bring into this piece: a little bit of romance, a little bit of celebration, and hopefully a poster that feels like it could live on your wall long after the music fades.
