Art Deco Cover for The Book Arsène Lupin By Lasse Voss

Arsène Lupin - Book Cover

Some characters never get old - they just reinvent themselves. Arsène Lupin has always been one of those for me: clever, charming, always a step ahead. When I sat down to design this cover, I wanted it to feel like him - stylish, sharp, but with a little mischief hiding between the lines.

I went for a deep blue and gold palette because it instantly sets the mood: elegance, mystery, late nights in Paris where anything could happen. The geometric frame is pure Art Deco, a style that, like Lupin, knows how to balance confidence and sophistication with a touch of play.

What I love most about this piece is the atmosphere it creates. Just a monocle, a mustache, a top hat - and suddenly you can almost hear the whispers of a Parisian crowd, or feel the anticipation of a story about to unfold.

At the end of the day, this cover isn’t only about design. It’s about capturing that first spark of curiosity — the feeling that you’re about to step into a world full of secrets and clever escapes.
